Roles & Access

The Wayfinding App has three types of users. Access to features depends on the role assigned to your account.

Prisons and Community Corrections staff access the Prisons Interface and use the guided workflow to help clients find information about services and book appointments.

Generally, Prisons and Community Corrections staff are not granted access to the Provider Interface although access can be granted upon request if required.

Provider members are staff from service provider organisations who have been given access to the Provider Interface by an administrator. A provider member can only see and manage the providers they have been assigned to.

Provider members can:

  • View and edit their provider’s profile (name, contact details, address)
  • Create and edit information listings
  • Create and edit booking listings and appointment slots TODO: Add links to where these are defined.
  • View other members assigned to their providers

Provider members cannot:

  • Manage categories
  • Create or manage user accounts
  • Access providers to which they are not assigned

By default Provider members are not given access to report data. However, access can be granted by an Administrator upon request and approval.

Administrators have full access to the Provider Interface.

Administrators can do everything a Provider member can, and additionally:

  • View and manage all service providers system-wide
  • Set the fallback provider (shown when no services match a client)
  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Assign roles, service provider and reports access to users
  • Create and manage service categories
  • Download session reports
